SUMMARY:Communication in the Bedroom: Asking For What You Want
DESCRIPTION:This class will be held online via Zoom — you’ll receive an email with access information prior to the event. While classes are LIVE in nature and by default not recorded\, some educators have chosen to offer recordings of their classes to pre-registered attendees; please inquire for specifics of this event. Registration deadline: 2:30 p.m. PST on the day of class. No day-of cancellations. \n\n\n\nKnowing what you want isn’t as easy as it sounds\, and asking for it can be even trickier. Honesty puts us in a vulnerable place\, opening us up to rejection or shame. People of all genders and sexualities have a lot of cultural baggage to work through\, from messages implying that wanting sex or pleasure is slutty (and that that’s a bad thing) to ubiquitous sex tips that make it sound like we’re supposed to read our partners’ minds. \n\n\n\nAll of this sets us up for failure\, and many people never take the chance to open a dialogue with their partner(s). But being able to talk about your wants and needs is the only way to get them met. \n\n\n\nIn this class we’ll talk about styles of communication\, ways to put yourself and your partner at ease\, and specific examples of tools and phrases to try. We’ll discuss how to start the conversation and how to incorporate communication into dirty talk. Not sure what to ask for? We’ll talk about some common fantasies you might want to try. \n\n\n\nAs always\, there will be time for Q&A\, and all genders and orientations are welcome. \n\n\n\nStella Harris is a Certified Intimacy Educator and Sex Coach who uses a variety of tools to guide and empower her clients. She teaches everything from pleasure anatomy to communication skills to kink and BDSM. Stella teaches at venues and conferences across the country (and Canada!) while maintaining a private practice in her adopted hometown of Portland\, Oregon. Stella’s first book\, Tongue Tied: Untangling Communication in Sex\, Kink\, and Relationships was published by Cleis Press in 2018 and she’s currently working on a new book for Cleis\, all about threesomes. Learn more on her website or follow her on Instagram. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe’re offering 2 free class spots to folks with financial need; please fill out this form if you are interested. Two people will be chosen randomly and contacted at least 2 weeks prior to class to confirm.

SUMMARY:Evolving Your Period
DESCRIPTION:This class will be held online via Zoom — you’ll receive an email with access information prior to the event. While classes are LIVE in nature and by default not recorded\, some educators have chosen to offer recordings of their classes to pre-registered attendees; please inquire for specifics of this event. Registration deadline: 2:30 p.m. PST on the day of class. No day-of cancellations. \n\n\n\nAh\, a class about periods. I bet the last time you attended one of these (if ever…) you were a teenager\, giggling or groaning as your PE teacher walked you through how to use a “sanitary” pad. There is so much more to learn! Registered nurse and sex educator Rae Higgins has created the period class that she wishes everyone had access to in\, and after\, their adolescence. \n\n\n\nThis workshop goes beyond tampons\, pads\, and the period talk you had in your junior high health class. Rae will introduce you to sustainable\, body-safe period products (like cups\, period panties/briefs\, and other reusable alternatives)\, discuss the importance of inclusive non-binary language\, and guide you through the ebbs and flows of the menstrual cycle — hormonal changes\, tracking ovulation\, and how to honor our bodies during each phase of the menstrual cycle. You will leave this workshop with the language\, products\, and information you’ll need to evolve your period. \n\n\n\nAll period-having folks are welcome. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe’re offering 2 free class spots to folks with financial need; please fill out this form if you are interested. Two people will be chosen randomly and contacted at least 2 weeks prior to class to confirm.

SUMMARY:Kink 101

Registration deadline: 2:30 p.m. PST on the day of class. No day-of cancellations. \n\n\n\nKink and BDSM are all the rage these days — maybe you’ve seen something that caught your attention but you don’t know where to start in real life. With a little bit of information and know-how\, you can start introducing kink into your own play right now! \n\n\n\nEveryone likes a change of pace now and then\, and part of what’s sexy about kink is that it’s a way to communicate about and experiment with new things. Kink presents some wonderful tools for playing with vulnerability and enhancing intimacy and connection. \n\n\n\nNo idea where to start\, or what you’d even enjoy? No problem. Stella Harris will give an overview of common kinks and you’ll get a downloadable yes/no/maybe list to use as a starting point to think about what you’d like to try. We’ll also discuss safety\, consent\, and negotiation and you’ll leave with ideas about how to incorporate kink into your own sex life. \n\n\n\nStella Harris is a Certified Intimacy Educator and Sex Coach who uses a variety of tools to guide and empower her clients. If you’re a fabulous fat babe who wants to build a better relationship with your body and sexuality or someone who enjoys having sex with the curviest among us\, this workshop is for you and anyone else who wants to become more body-positive and fat-positive in their approach to sex/sexuality. \n\n\n\nThis workshop will give you tools to start developing a fat-positive mindset both in and out of the bedroom. You’ll also walk away from this workshop with a list of products\, equipment\, and positions for enhancing fat sex. The goal of this workshop is to change the conversation around fat sex and embrace a diversity of bodies in all their fabulous fleshiness. \n\n\n\nHailey Otis is a scholar\, activist\, and speaker whose work focuses on fat positivity and representations of fat bodies within the body positive movement. She has a Master’s degree in Communication from Colorado State University and grounds her work in intersectional feminism\, sex positivity\, and radical fat liberation. Hailey — a self-identified “fatty” herself — is committed to liberating fat folks from the shackles of shame\, stigma\, and diet culture by cultivating spaces for fat positivity. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe’re offering 2 free class spots to folks with financial need; please fill out this form if you are interested. SUMMARY:Moving Through Healing After Trauma
\n\n\n\nHow do you get back to pleasure after trauma? This class will be focused on perspectives of survivors from marginalized communities but we welcome all survivors to join us. We are inclusive and sensitive to BIPOC\, LGBTQIPA2SS\, sex worker specific survivors. This is not your regular 101 class on ways to move forward after your trauma. We will be working on building community and safety as we go on a journey together. We will be digging into the impact on various areas of life\, ways the trauma manifests long term (ie: physical/social/relational/psychological effects) and creating empowerment and healing through ritual\, self care\, community\, clinical tools and resourcing. \n\n\n\nAngie Gunn LCSW CST\, is an unapologetic badass in therapist form. Licensed in Oregon\, Angie co-owns an in-person private practice as well as two digital companies\, focused on providing avenues for healing trauma\, expanding authenticity and vulnerability\, and finding infinite pathways to pleasure and connection. She treats primarily LGBTQIPA+\, kinky\, non-monogamous\, sex worker\, and sexual trauma survivor clients through the lenses of intersectionality\, social justice\, and trauma-informed care. As a queer\, kinky\, non-monogamous abuse survivor\, she’s experienced the daily fight to balance personal and professional fulfillment and sexual expression. Her goal is personal integration with all the parts of herself\, to provide transformation for all the parts of each of you\, your relationships\, and your communities. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe’re offering 2 free class spots to folks with financial need; please fill out this form if you are interested.
