SUMMARY:Saucy Spring into Summer Choreography!
DESCRIPTION:This class will be held online via Zoom — you’ll receive an email with access information prior to the event. While classes are LIVE in nature and by default not recorded\, some educators have chosen to offer recordings of their classes to pre-registered attendees; please inquire for specifics of this event. Registration deadline: 2:30 p.m. PST on the day of class. No day-of cancellations. \n\n\n\nBloom with the flowers! Strut into summer with a sweet and sassy routine in this 2-hour burlesque choreography workshop with Eva D’Luscious. \n\n\n\nWe’ll warm up with the bumps\, grinds\, shimmies\, struts and specialty moves used for this routine — including tassel twirling — then link them together in a delicious routine accessible to new dancers. \n\n\n\nCostume pieces: Button down shirt/shirt coat that closes in the front; bra/top you’ll remove. Bottoms stay on. You may dance in bare feet or in heels if they are stable and help you feel sexy; make sure your dancing surface is safe for your chosen footwear. \n\n\n\nParticipants may turn their camera off or leave it on to receive feedback. Following class\, registered students will receive access to a recorded video with Eva performing the choreography\, a rehearsal view for following along\, and a step-by-step breakdown. \n\n\n\nEva D’Luscious is a Portland-based MC\, burlesque performer\, producer and instructor known for putting her students at ease and instigating a love of all things sparkly. A self-avowed dance\, holistic living\, and fitness nerd on a mission to unite and uplift through joyful movement\, she has supported many people in revealing their sparkly selves on and off stage and welcomes beginners and experienced dancers to her classes. \n\n\n\n\n\nWe’re offering 2 free class spots to folks with financial need; please fill out this form if you are interested. Two people will be chosen randomly and contacted at least 2 weeks prior to class to confirm.
